Holden joined the IPA laboratory as a Postdoctoral Associate in 2022 after completing his PhD at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. His general research interest is cardiovascular health across the lifespan. His dissertation research focused on the protective effect of passive heat exposure against acute vascular injury in young and older adults. Currently, he helps operate an NIH R01 Clinical Trial investigating the efficacy of passive heat therapy to reduce systolic blood pressure in midlife and older adults with above-normal blood pressure. In his free time, Holden enjoys hiking, biking, roasting coffee beans, and making espresso.
