Matthew J. Rossman

Matt joined the Integrative Physiology of Aging Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2015 after receiving his PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah. To support his Postdoctoral Fellowship, Matt was awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) F32 award to conduct a pilot clinical trial looking at the efficacy of a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant for improving vascular function in older adults. In 2018, Matt received an NIH K01 award and was promoted to Assistant Research Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Department of Integrative Physiology. Matt’s current research focus is on identifying novel approaches for improving vascular function with aging and in age-related diseases such as chronic kidney disease. Matt was named the Associate Director of the Integrative Physiology of Aging Laboratory in 2021.
