Sanna completed her B.S. in Human Physiology with a minor in Social Justice at Gonzaga University in 2020. Sanna joined the Seals lab in 2021 and completed her PhD in 2026 where she studied the effects of female-specific factors on vascular aging phenotypes in postmenopausal women. She was also funded by an NIH F31 Predoctoral award to determine whether chronic MitoQ supplementation improves cerebrovascular and cognitive function in older adults. Outside the lab, Sanna enjoys spending time outdoors running, biking and skiing, spending time with close family and friends, and searching for the best gluten free restaurants in Colorado.
