Sanna completed her B.S. in Human Physiology with a minor in Social Justice at Gonzaga University in 2020. Sanna joined the Seals lab in 2021 and is currently a fourth year PhD student in the lab studying the role of mitochondrial oxidative stress in age- and menopause-related vascular dysfunction. She is also funded by an NIH F31 Predoctoral award to determine whether chronic MitoQ supplementation improves cerebrovascular and cognitive function in older adults. Outside the lab, Sanna enjoys spending time outdoors running, biking and skiing, spending time with close family and friends, and searching for the best gluten free restaurants in Colorado.
